True bug - Melacoryphus lateralis

True bug - Melacoryphus lateralis
Tonto National Forest, Maricopa County, Arizona, USA
December 6, 2008

Moved from True Bugs.

This looks like the Neacoryphus lateralis
in the guide here. Great shot. Were these two bugs scattered together?

yes -- to both the ID and praise
pls move the pic

Oh yeah
I forgot that I found one of these under the same rock as this bug

Wow. Looking at that image number, I can't believe there are almost 250,000 photos on bugguide!

There's a statistics page (node 11181, which I can't link to through the normal means). It says 191278 images plus 20376 non-image pages (which also take up a number). The rest have been frassed over the years.

forgot about frass and pages
but still, 200000 photos is a lot.
