I've seen these posted in the guide before, but now I can't seem to find it. Attracted to light on front porch.

Noctuidae: Arctiinae; Apantesis
....quite possibly Apantesis phalerata. A very difficult group in which to make identification without resort to hindwing and abdomen patterns of coloration. Older taxonomies list this as a distinct family Arctiidae. But molecular data say otherwise.

I moved the images to Apantesis
I wished I had taken some images of the hind wings. This moth was very docile and easy to handle too. Thanks for the quick reply.
