Stictopleurus sp possibly - Arhyssus scutatus
Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, San Diego County, California, USA

Size: BL ~ 7 mm
This is another probable Rhopalid that may be a Stictopleurus sp. It was photographed in Coyote Canyon in the low desert on Brittlebush (Encelia farinosa) and is quite hairy, as so many desert critters are. Possibly a different species from #245666?

Moved from Arhyssus.

rather: Arhyssus
but Rhopalids are tricky even on genus level.
