Moved very tentatively
metafemoral armature doesn't fit [obstructed?] but this distinctive ridge at the front angle of the pronotum is a dead ringer on Fig.808 in(1)

Moved from Pea and Bean Weevils.

i'm confused
this is either a trivial Algarobius or something funny -- the subparallel-sided pronotum looks unusual (spent a couple of hours trying to figure it out :)

Well, I can tell you that it's a
seed beetle (Chrysomelidae, Bruchinae), but beyond that????

Thanks
Thanks for the Family-level ID. Indeed, I've been perusing the images and cannot find a match.

Good luck.
Really diverse subfamily, and >80% of the North American fauna is associated with legumes. Not any shortage of those here in Arizona, so even knowing host plant often doesn't help. Great images, though.

Thanks!
Thanks for the additional info. . . and the compliment. Much appreciated. Happy New Year!
