Spider Wasp - Auplopus mellipes

Spider Wasp - Auplopus mellipes
Cary, Wake County, North Carolina, USA
July 18, 2005
Size: 11mm
Found this one inside the house, seemed very docile. I'm sure it's fairly common because I do see them from time to time. Thanks for any help. Body length measured at 11mm.

Auplopus mellipes.
Pretty certain it is that species of spider wasp (family Pompilidae). Nice work getting these shots! Please look for other Pompilids, too.
