Size: 10 mm
I found this dead adult female spider on the outside steps of our apartment building, perhaps a victim of the cold weather (for California). Appears to be a gnaphosid - perhaps Scotophaeus blackwallii (?), an exotic synanthrope - see epigynum images and this photo from the web:
