One of the species with more strongly patterned wings. Different than the one you posted two years ago. Great addition to Bugguide!

According to Kevin Barber this is probably D. repleta, but some of the wing pattern details are obscured here, which does not allow a certain ID. Yes, you can keep this and other small flies, and send them at some point for me to look at.
