Cicada - Neocicada hieroglyphica

Cicada - Neocicada hieroglyphica
Fort Bragg, Cumberland County, North Carolina, USA
July 19, 2005
Guess at size is 40 mm wings included.

Neocicada hieroglyphica
The wing patterns of Neocicada are quite distinct. I grow increasingly amazed at the different color morphs of this species. While I'm not 100% on this but this may be young and still teneral.

Neocicada hieroglyphica?
I'd like a second opinion on my own diagnosis, though:-)
