Bluet - Enallagma carunculatum - male

Bluet - Enallagma carunculatum - Male
Pointe Claire, Quebec, Canada
July 19, 2005
Size: 2.5 cm
This was the closest male to the female in Photo#24780. A Familiar Bluet, isn't it? It is smaller than 24780 and was a good 40 meters away.

Not very much blue!
We would expect Familiar to be a lot bluer. Check out E. carunculatum etc., and see what you think. Ed Lam (1) page 65.
And (We get the picture here by typing thumb:24780 inside of [ ] ) could very well be a female of the same species.

Tule Bluet
Oh yes! Now I see - thanks!
