Yucca bug - Halticotoma valida

Yucca bug - Halticotoma valida
Tucson, Nanini Library , Pima County, Arizona, USA
January 2, 2009
Size: 2 to 3 mm
Hundreds of these on a Spanish Bajonett Yucca that looked quite jaundiced and punctuated with bite marks

Yucca Plant Bug (Halticotoma valida)...
Although there are five Halticotoma species in AZ, reddish legs, bluish black wings, and short A2 suggest it be H. valida.
