may I ask what type of camera you use to get such awesome crisp images? I can only imagine the images of parasitic hymenoptera you could get if you can get this crisp with a springtail!

Thanks, Ray. The photo was taken with a Nikon D300, a 105mm Nikkor Macro lens, and flash, hand held (F22, 1/250, ISO 200). I have to use flash since I have some hand shake problems. The photos are highly cropped and are at the limit of my system, but they work for the web. I shoot in RAW format and process in Lightroom 2.2. Hope this helps.
