Brown Damsel Bug, 2:07pm - Nabis propinquus

Brown Damsel Bug, 2:07pm - Nabis propinquus
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
July 31, 2008
This is my last assassin bug.

Nabis (Limnonabis) propinquus
The yellowish, elongate, parallel-sided abdomen helps to identify this species among those belonging to "basal scutellar depression" subgenera. This submacropterous form is more rare than the typical brachypterous form.

Moved from Nabis flavomarginatus.

Moved
Moved from Damsel Bugs.

Nabidae, seconded
It appears to be a sp. close to (Dolicho*nabis) flavomarginatus, now in genus Nabi*cula according to Nomina Nearctica. Maybe a check which species occur in your region will solve the question.

N. (Dolichonabis) flavomarginata Scholtz 1847

perhaps
Nabidae instead?
