Mosquito: A Natural History of Our Most Persistent and Deadly Foe
By Andrew Spielman, Sc.D., Michael D'Antonio
Hyperion Press, 2001
ISBN: 0-7868-6781-7
Cite: 2501 with citation markup [cite:2501]

A great read!
I just recently finished this one (the cover looks very different, but the title, authors, and year of publication are the same, so I'm assuming it's the same book). A real page-turner, hard to put down, easy to finish! Not much help in identification, but full of scientific names and natural history information about various species, as well as a chronicle of human history as shaped by various species of skeeters and the pathogens they help transmit. I highly recommend it.
