I've been going through my photo archive lately and uploading photos to iNaturalist that I took before iNat existed. This one was just labeled "unk moth" with its date. iNat's AI suggested this species, even though it has no records of it north of Monterey, Mexico. I've tried looking for alternative possibilities but so far haven't found anything that matches as well, and then noticed that although iNat has no US records for this species, there were three previous Texas records here on the Guide, two of them by the late, great, dynamic duo of Charles Bordelon and Ed Knudson (a.k.a. the Texas Lepidoptera Survey).
