This butterfly was photographed in the vegetation on the edge of the pond near the UT Field Station. It was ID'd as an Appalachian Brown by Stephen Stedman, state coordinator for Butterflies and Moths of N Am, from Ed LeGrand's photo of the same individual. Gathering_2008.
