described from Tasmania, now spreading throughout the world, incl. NA; recorded in Australia, New Zealand, so. Europe (established before 1996), Taiwan (Thomas 2005, Viñolas et al. 2012); in our area, recorded in FL (Thomas 2005), VA, TX (BG data)
Habitat
in Europe, found in compost, humid artificial habitats, but also nearly undisturbed habitats (Species page, Museo di storia naturale di Venezia)
