I'm reasonably certain it is nivalis. I'd ask Dr. Stephen Marshall to be sure, he said the major rivers in Guelph support a mass Taeniopterygid emergence in March.

Taeniopteryx
This genus has fingerlike coxal gills. If you look behind the lower middle leg, I believe you can see one of these. If I had to guess about the species, I would lean toward T. nivalis (aka the Boreal Willowfly). Although they usually have a pale dorsal stripe, the pale lateral borders of the pronotum and the yellowish femur tips are also traits of this common species.
