This one has some pretty cool markings. Any chance of getting past Pteriphoidae??

Debbie Matthews, referee for Pterophoridae at MPG, tells me this is A. pica.

Whooooo Hoooooo!
Tell Debbie thanks from me... my first correct id of a Ptero.
What a tough group of moths for me. Thanks for checking on this one with her.

Looks Like 6119 - Lantanophaga pusillidactylus .....
.... seems to match a photo from Lake Co., Florida. I'll try to have this confirmed, as I do not know if the moth is trans-continental in distribution.

I like a good challenge
especially when I'm having trouble falling asleep (er, it's past 1am east coast time and I should be sleeping...I have 2 jobs to go to tomorrow)
At least I can feel fruitful once in a while--A. pica looks like the closest match from photos here and
on MPG.
. A. pica seems to be the only one of the plumes that have that distinctive diagonal striping on the wings.
