Beeflies Mating - Poecilanthrax effrenus - male - female

Beeflies Mating - Poecilanthrax effrenus - Male Female
Marijilda Canyon, Pinaleno Mountains, Graham County, Arizona, USA
July 21, 2008
Possibly Poecilanthrax effrenus?

Moved
Moved from Bee Flies.

I second that
I hope that it gets IDed soon. In many species of flies the male's eyes are much bigger than the female's; but here the difference is insignificant. I just can't be sure.

ID
This is P. effrenus. The eye spacing typically doesn't differ much between males and females in many of the Villini and Exoprosopini.

May I be the first....
May I be the first to say "WOW!" that's a beautiful shot!
