Bee - Apis mellifera Sand Springs, Osage County, Oklahoma, USA January 31, 2009 Size: 6mm (1/4")
Saw a couple of these flying around. I detained this one then let it go after the pics. Something I thought was interesting in the third pic is it licked the container and, through pure luck, I managed to take the pic just as it did. It appears the tongue is forked, sort of like a snake's tongue.
Please help with ID.
