Moth Scopula limboundata - Scopula limboundata

Moth Scopula limboundata - Scopula limboundata
Jackson County, Michigan, USA
July 6, 2008

Moved
Moved from Moths.

it's a Large lace border

There is quite a variation in this species and normally has dark patches all along the wings.

Edit: Posted near the same time and used same picture? That was unexpected.

How funny!
We posted at the same time and even used the same image.

I'm confident that this is...
... a Large Lace-border, Scopula limboundata or a lookalike in the same genus.

Hi Carmen,

Thank you for your help. I have thousands of moth, butterfly and bug photos that I haven't posted because I was not sure enough of their names. I am so glad that I found this site. I do Church Directory photography in MI, OH, IN, IL, WI and KY for Olan Mills as my main job but I also do freelance and stock photography. You can see some of my stock photography at: http://www.photographersdirect.com/stangregg
I have a MV light that stays on all night on my garage that attracts a lot of moths so I get up early and photograph them before the birds get them when I am home. I always have a camera with me and use it a lot on everything.

Best wishes,
Stan
