Dr Snider
expert on northern American Symphypleona pointed out that Maynard in 1951 considered specimens with such markings as a normal colour variant of Sminthurinus elegans.
To verify whether or not these specimens are a colour variant of S. elegans or the European reticulatus it will be necessary to check the claws and abdominal setae.

I have just...
found another one this morning and was able to get quite a few more images of it. Maybe there will be enough detail in one or more of these images to check.

Sminthurinus cf. reticulatus
An adult male specimen.
S. reticulatus is not yet recorded from the USA (that's why we use the clause 'cf.').
So, you have found a new species for the USA :-)

:^)
I found this purely by accident! While trying to get some images of a tiny black globular springtail( will post later), this one walked right in front of the lens.

I went out today to try and find it again, but no such luck. I will try again tomorrow. Thanks Frans!

From Europe?
How do these creatures get here? They keep coming and coming!
Scott: see if you can find a few more. Do you have another photo? It would be worth adding it.

No idea how they arrived...
I have more images, but they aren't too good. Maybe I can take another look at my pics.

I'll try to find more!

I'm still...
finding these almost every time I go to the original location. Seems to be a good sized population of them here.

Different dates
Considering that we have so few in the guide and that the dates are widely different, it may be a good idea to add one or two images.
