Green Bottle Fly - Neomyia cornicina

Green Bottle Fly - Neomyia cornicina
Sand Springs, Osage County, Oklahoma, USA
February 5, 2009
Size: 5mm (3/16")
I think this is a Green Bottle Fly but why does it have a red tinge to it?
Please help with ID.

Moved
Moved from Lucilia.

Lucilia...
This is a blowfly in the genus Lucilia. It is not that unusual for these flies to have a bronze-tinged thorax. The European or common green blowfly (L. sericata) is an example of a species with this coloration pattern, although more details would be needed for a positive species ID here. I do know, however, that this one's a girl.

....
What other details would be required for species?
