Brown fly to ID - Archytas

Brown fly to ID - Archytas
Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
July 21, 2005
This brown and black fly was rather big, the size of a big blue bottle fly. It may have a bit of a colout tint from the flower but it looks pretty close to how it appeared. Any ID and info would be appreciated. Thanks.

This is a tachinid fly, probably in the genus Archytas. Neat composition.
