Size: 8mm
I found 2 of these stoneflies out on the snow today. This was 8mm, and the other one was 7mm, and they had all the same markings.

I got more to post tonight or tomorrow, and quite a few larvae.

Allocapnia recta
Both females, but identifiable. Reportedly the earliest emerging species.

Moved
Allocapnia looks like the right genus. I'm saving this for Don, so we could be getting it to species.

 
Not a
usual species for me - must go to the big key for these.

Capniidae
Allocapnia seems like a good possibility.
