Is this species associated with gopher burrows, or is that just a coincidence?

Don't know if they're solely associated with pocket gophers (Geomys sp.). See here for the original description. Page 144 starts description of this species. All the type material was from Geomys sp. burrow systems.

the reduced eyes
are crazy looking. thanks for adding this, the scatopsid, and the phorid, all are great additions to the guide
