Feralia major or jocosa? Comments/corrections appreciated. Thanks. - Feralia major
Jasper, Pickens County, Georgia, USA
February 13, 2009
Size: length approx 18 mm.
Found on the side of a store in the afternoon.
At first I thought this might be Feralia jocosa, but after reading as much as I could find online and looking at a lot of images of Feralia, I decided that Feralia major might be more likely.
Aside from wing markings, I believe size of the specimen and time of year (early) seem to indicate F. major.
I would appreciate any comments or corrections on the ID of this specimen.
