Ant? - Camponotus

Ant? - Camponotus
Adams Lodge, Rio Blanco County, Colorado, USA
July 8, 2004
A Carpenter Ant? On mint in NW Colorado at 7600 feet elevation

Carpenter Ant (Camponotus sp.) - major worker
A member of subgenus Camponotus. Reminds much of C. modoc, but I don't know whether this species occurs that far East, and also at such a high elevation.
