Size: approximately 5 to 7 mm.
This one was found hopping and walking in the snow. in the same general area as some springtails I was finding.

I just stumbled onto a paper
I just stumbled onto a paper this afternoon about the first Boreus reported from the Black Hills, I think published last year.

Sorry I stumbled onto this 6 years late. To the best of my knowledge this is the first snow scorpionfly discovered from your state. I would love to have freshly-caught specimens of this dropped alive into alcohol and sent to me for DNA analysis. We may have something new here. (Wes Bicha, 121 Old Batley Road, Oliver Springs, TN 37840)
