Western Meadowhawk - Sympetrum semicinctum

Western Meadowhawk - Sympetrum semicinctum
Larimer County, Colorado, USA
July 23, 2005
Size: 1.5"
About the same size as a Calico Pennant. This is one of (at least) two specimens of this kind. I got close to quite a few dragonflies today, but these seemed the least concerned about me getting within three inches of them.
