I found a bunch more of these today, but didn't collect any. I'll see if I can get better shots of the next ones I find.

can be identified to species or species group, but only if the specimens are available.

Is enough visible here to call this Prosimulium?

I put this one with the other aquatics I'm saving for you.

These can often be found by the millions, attached to rocks in lotic waters.

That doesn't sound very appealing.

Little appeal to us...
but a delight to hungry mayflies and stoneflies!
