Moved
Moved from Hydroporus.

Not Hydroporus!
Sorry my mistake...this apparently is a Hygrotus and it's almost certainly H. sellatus judging from the very distinctive elytral patterning, as illustrated in Larson (2000).

Maybe...
Hydroporus signatus, a highly variable species- the extent of the pale maculations has been reported to vary alot geographically- If it is this species, yours seems to be an unusually pale specimen.

A hydroporine of some type
Several possible candidates; maybe Hydroporus or Laccornis (or even Hygrotus)...A good shot of the underside will confirm; I'm vouching for Hydroporus. The extensive pale maculations on this one however suggests something quite distinctive..will check the books later.

Posting ventral shot
Hopefully good enough.
