Uncertain :(

Hi! It's possibly a new Isopoda species on BugGuide.net! :)

I was about to say that it's a Chaetophiloscia species from the Philoscidae family. See article from here: http://www.univet.hu/users/ehornung/downloads/cikkeim/CRM2003.pdf.

After the telson and uropodites, however it's more likely a Ligidium sp. from a Ligiidae family, possibly an Asian species.

An image with details of antennae and/or telson would be very useful!

Ligidium gracile??

Hi, I would agree with Ferenc that it should be a Ligidium and from what I read about American species it seems Ligidium gracile would be an excellent candidate, but I can't be sure - it would be the first photo online of this species, so nothing to compare to except for some rather schematic/unexact drawings :o(

Yes, the shape may look similar to Trichoniscids, but not quite the same. Unfortunately I can't say more. I have a feeling that it is a Ligidium, but I'd rather not put it there unless it is really certain.

However, the image now can be put under the label "Woodlice".. :)
