Vaejovis coahuilae
This is an adult female Vaejovis coahuilae. Vaejovis spinigerus is not yet known to occur east of the Continental Divide. Its easternmost sites are in and around the Peloncillo Mountains along the Arizona/New Mexico border.

This one, in the Guadalupe Mountains of the Texas/New Mexico border, can be distinguished in the photo from V. spinigerus by the keels/ridges on the hands. Vaejovis spinigerus has smooth, rounded hands, whereas V. coahuilae has these ridges, called carinae.

Here, http://bugguide.net/node/view/250003/bgimage, is a nice photo showing the smooth, round hands of V. spinigerus.

Also, compare the thickness of the tail (metasoma) in these photos: The metasoma of Vaejovis spinigerus is more robust.

Vaejovis spinigerus was originally described from "Texas" back in 1863, but none have been reported from Texas since, and a lot of intensive collecting has been going on in West Texas over the past 50 years.

Nice photo!

Thank You
Very Much...I love learning!

No problem! =)
I have collected all throughout the area north of Dell City, in and around Dog Canyon outside of the National Park. The other species around there are Centruroides vittatus, Paruroctonus gracilior, Pseudouroctonus apacheanus, Vaejovis crassimanus, and Vaejovis russelli. Six species is not too shabby!
Also a lot of vinegaroons down that way.
