hmm... color of antennae and shoulders suggests E. atricornis

colors/patterns
While the antennae are darker, and the shoulders *definitely* resemble those of E. atricornis, the other patterns on the back still seem closer to E. cruciatus for me. The larger triangle toward the head is lighter on E. cruciatus in the middle and more "filled in" on E. atricornis. Also, there are more distinct indentations of light color on the sides toward the tail of E. atricornis than the E. cruciatus we have on the site.

So, while I can see your argument, I have some doubts for now. Do you think I should just move it to Elasmostethus?

 
you're correct, atricornis is distinctive, and this is not it
however, there's a chance this one may turn to be the Holarctic E. interstinctus [see also the key on the info page]
