Cobweb Spider and Prey - Pissodes

Cobweb Spider and Prey - Pissodes
Moccasin Lake, Winston, Douglas County, Georgia, USA
March 8, 2009
Found this Cobweb Spider trying to subdue it's prey. The much larger Weevil (need ID on him) was strugling in vain. The spider was basically all over the weevil but mainly stayed around it's head area.

Moved
Moved from Cobweb Spiders.

Split the difference, I think the lateral view of the spider will be more useful for the ID anyway. Heck of a meal! Theridiids definitely don't mess around when it comes to food.

Thank you
Thanks V, I appreciate the ID. Should he remain where it is or should it be sent to Pissodes as there are none for Georgia at the moment?

up to you, Jerry
[can't say i care much about data points]
