Size: approx. 5 cm.
We have puzzled over several possible species IDs and think this is a useful first submission.

Difficult
There are several species that are difficult or impossible to identify from a photo. I suspect this one is Enallagma civile - Familiar Bluet, because of long appendages on the tip of the abdomen. Just a guess...

Thanks. We will go with that though we also wondered if it was a Northern Bluet. Now to figure out how to move it.
