What to do until the doctor comes
Chris, while waiting for an expert ID, you may want to check out our Orange County website.Bugs are here http://nathistoc.bio.uci.edu/hemipt/index.htm#Heteroptera

In particular, look at scentless plant bug Liorhyssus hyalinus.

Thanks Ron!
Your website is a very helpful resource. It's good to know that there are a few people here on bugguide that live in the same general area and have already ID'd many of the local insects that I've been shooting.

Looking at your L. hyalinus images, I think that that could very well be a match. Is there any way of way to visually distinguish scentless plant bugs in Rhopalidae from plant bugs in Miridae? I never seem to get it right with these guys.
