Archytas metallicus

Archytas metallicus
Fews Ford Section, Eno River State Park, Orange County, North Carolina, USA
July 16, 2005
Size: 13 mm
Taking water from a seep, and rather tame. Size measured by photographing a scale at the same magnification--camera set to manual focus.

Also compare what Eric Eaton identifies as a probably Archytas:

That seems to be the genus--according to other comments--thanks!
(And thanks for species ID--see comments. This was a new species for the guide back when photographed in 2005!)
Image updated 2020.
