Size: BL about 9-10 mm
We saw several of these small robber flies on the concrete sidewalk joining the Borrego Palm Canyon Campground with the Visitors Center. In the Univ. of CO Museum Entomology collection, the closest lookalike genus seemed to be Stichopogon.

How interesting that most of the species in this genus are undescribed! It's an intriguing small robberfly. Thanks so much for your ID, one I never would have come across on my own!
