Antheraea polyphemus - female

Antheraea polyphemus - Female
Seattle, King County, Washington, USA
This poor lost specimen was found laying her eggs inside an open air concrete stairway on the 14th floor of the University Hospital. Long way from vegetation... Not sure I helped the gene pool by bringing her home and rearing her offspring on vine maple. Lots more pics of the caterpillars, but the A. polyphemus section seems well stocked already. 7 out of 7 made it to adult, 1 male, 6 female.

Fantastic photo
Did you measure the eggs? Or can you estimate their size?
