Eucerceris
Thanks for the ID, and from an authoritative source. I noticed elsewhere (i.e. Calacademy) the taxonomic ranking: family Philanthidae, subfamily Cercerinae.
This probably means that Bugguide should update accordingly and add the genus Eucerceris.

Male Philanthinae.
This is a male sphecid wasp in the subfamily Philanthinae. My initial guess would be the genus Cerceris or Eucerceris. Neat image!
