Small pale green moth - Dyspteris abortivaria

Small pale green moth - Dyspteris abortivaria
Baton Rouge - BREC Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center, East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, USA
March 18, 2009
Size: about 1 inch
At least I think it is a moth.
Taken about 09:00.
Seemed to be sunning itself on a leaf of a stinging nettle.
About 1 inch from wing tip to wing tip.

7648 - Bad-wing Moth - Dyspteris abortivaria
.... called the bad-wing because it is a difficult moth for collectors to properly spread when preparing a specimen mount.

Thanks
It was found at the base of a very large muscadine vine (wild grape).
The muscadine is just beginning to produce new leaves.
There is also a large amount of Virgina creeper in the area.
Virgina creeper has a full set of leaves and is growing rapidly.
