Oh, great....
...now I'm going to have that song stuck in my head all night! (*grin*) I'm not quite sure what the appropriate congratulatory phrase is for finding one's first dung beetle, but I still have yet to see one, so I know I'd be pretty happy about it. In all seriousness though, a nice series of behavioral images. Hope you have better luck getting a face shot next time.

Well, maybe a "hot s#!t!" would be an apt plaudit.
When you post yours, I will deliver appropriate praise. (Impromptu is my forte.)

Next time, if the beetle fails to look at me, I'll tug at its treat.

Better still...
I told my husband about this amusing interchange and he immediately came up with the most simple and eloquent of phrases -- "Well dung, Ron."

Now, why didn't I think of that?!

When I need a speech writer, I now know where to go.
Quite funny!
