Whitefly, (not White Aphid)

Whitefly, (not White Aphid)
Santa Clara, Santa Clara County, California, USA
March 16, 2009
Size: 2mm or so
Aphids are not readily identified I've heard. This does not look like most of the aphids on bugguide, however that is what I've always heard people call them. Is this an aphid? It has wings that look fly like to me. Any help would be appreciated!

whitefly, rather
they are also virtually unIDable based on winged individuals

With both critters, knowing the plant they're on can help.
However, not much. LOL!

Thanks for the info!, to think...
...I've been thinking of them as aphids all of these years! Considering the size, I think the Tamron Adaptall-2 SP 35-80mm manual focus lens purchased on eBay for $10 did a pretty good job!

Agreed.
I think yours is better than my macro shots of these guys.
