As seen in other parts of the mid-South, members of the "pruinosus complex" in northeast Mississippi can be pruinosus-like, winnemana-like, or possess varying degrees of intermediate traits. Although considered by most to be T. pruinosus, there has been some thought as to blending between the taxa.
