Sawfly - Arge pectoralis

Sawfly - Arge pectoralis
Harvard, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA
July 23, 2005

Moved from Arge.

Arge sp.
Possibly A. pectoralis. Color in this group of Arge varies, A. pectoralis can have either an orange or black abdomen; the most common is orange.

It looks like a closely related species to Arge pectoralis. The picture in Marshall's book shows a dark abdomen.

Arge cf. pectoralis
