Walkingstick - Diapheromera femorata - Male
Neale Woods Nature Center, Omaha, Douglas County, Nebraska, USA
August 22, 2008
Size: approx. 3" body length
We're thinking this might be Northern Walkingstick (Diapheromera femorata). Any help with ID appreciated.

I'd agree.
Not sure if there are any other walkingstick species in your area. This is a male (slender body, claspers at tip of abdomen, modified middle femora).

John,

Thanks for your comments and the photo of the walkingstick you found in your area. We'll be on the lookout for that one.
