Abstract
Hydnocera tibialis Wolcott, 1910 is synonymized under Phyllobaenus caeruleipennis (Wolcott, 1908); Hydnocera commixta Chapin, 1922, Hydnocera mira Wolcott, 1928, as well as Hydnocera humeralis var.

Abstract
The checkered beetle, Phyllobaenus corticinus (Gorham), previously known only from Mexico and Guatemala, is recorded as a new country record for the United States, based on specimens from Cameron County, Texas.

Abstract
Twenty-three genera and 51 species of Cleridae are reported for the state of Tamaulipas, Mexico, representing 24% of all the species known from the country. It is anticipated that many species remain to be found.
