Gelechiidae - Aristotelia elegantella - Aristotelia elegantella
Dog Canyon, Otero County, New Mexico, USA
March 31, 2009
Size: 8 - 10 mm?
neat moth with highly refractive scale pattern...appears closest to some Aristotelia

Moved
Moved from Gelechioidea.

I concur
Definitely Aristotelia, and closest to A. elegantella among the described Nearctic species.

Maybe
Aristotelia elegantella (Hodges # 1736) Elegant Aristotelia Moth.

Thanks John
that does seem to be the closest

Gelechiidae
Not Tortricidae by labile palps and shape. It might be something in genus Coleotechnites. Sorry I can't get closer.

Thanks
David...a big help
